A Full Circle Moment: IBM's Global Microsoft Practice
Almost three years ago, I swapped a blue Microsoft badge for an IBM one — joining IBM with one clear goal: to help unlock the full power of the Microsoft ecosystem for our clients.
Yesterday, that journey came full circle.
IBM Consulting has unveiled a dedicated Global Microsoft Practice.
We are bringing together 33,000+ Microsoft-certified colleagues worldwide under one integrated team — ready to transform and accelerate client journeys across Azure, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, Fabric, Dynamics 365, Security, and more.
Why does this moment matter to me personally?
First: Over the past three years I've worked shoulder-to-shoulder with incredible IBM and Microsoft teams to prove what's possible. Having that recognised in the form of a global practice — well, chef's kiss, as they say.
Second: We've now built a global capability that pairs IBM's deep industry expertise with Microsoft's innovation engine. Azure. Fabric. Dynamics 365. Sentinel. Put that alongside IBM's consulting depth across healthcare, financial services, government and manufacturing, and you have something genuinely special and genuinely difficult to replicate.
Third: The new practice gives us the mandate to turn bold strategies into measurable outcomes — not just advising on transformation, but delivering it end to end, at scale.
I'm hugely proud of the part our team has played in shaping this milestone. And if anything, I am more excited about what comes next. I'll be working alongside Tim Callaghan in the UK&I team as CTO.
If you are exploring AI, data modernisation or secure cloud at enterprise scale — let's talk. 🚀
