Reading PITCH in Ibiza — and Why It Moved Me to Action Immediately

Taking some time out in sunny Ibiza this week with my daughter — and, as is tradition, I've brought along a small stack of books.

The first one was long overdue: PITCH by Danny Fontaine.

I confess, I almost finished it in one sitting. Fun in the pool was more important, obviously. 😄

What I can say is this: it is not often that a book moves me to action this quickly. The last time it happened was with Radical Candor by Kim Scott, which has since become a core part of how I lead and give feedback. PITCH feels like it might do exactly the same thing.

Danny, what I love is how you crystallise so many things I've been doing intuitively but never properly tied together. The Style, the Storycoaster, TITAN, the thinking on how we present information and what we leave behind — I had started building these out on a whiteboard almost before I'd finished the chapter.

(I'll leave the whiteboard photo suitably blurry — the point is for you to go and read the book yourself! 😉)

If you work in sales, consulting, leadership, or frankly any role where you ever need to persuade another human being of anything — put PITCH on your list. You won't regret it.

Thank you, Danny. Brilliant start to the holiday.
